The conference is organised by the Centre for Digital Humanities at the University of Gothenburg and will be held at the Conference Centre Wallenberg, March 14–16, 2017. The annual conference, “Digital Humanities in the Nordic Countries,” will take place in Riga, Latvia, October 20-23 2020. The DHN conferences aim to provide an overview of research, education and communication about the interdisciplinary field of digital humanities from the Nordic to the Baltic region, and beyond. The conference will focus on interdisciplinary connections and methodological links between digital humanities and digital social sciences. Striving to acknowledge productive interconnections between the disciplines, DHN2020 aims to inspire a broad consideration of knowledge sharing and debates inspired by various forms and results of interdisciplinary cooperation.

Nordic Digital Humanities Laboratory’s modus operandi is IRL workshops and interactive data sessions. Given the current COVID-19 situation this is no longer feasible. Instead we jointly analyse traces of sociocultural patterns in news media accross the Nordic countries by shipping code to the partner labs.
